Good Trouble Lives On. Join Us Saturday.
This week, protect disability and consumer financial rights, fight for a local news network’s freedom of speech, end state collaboration with ICE, and then take to the streets for a Good Trouble Lives On Rally! If these actions speak to you, please forward this to some like-minded people you know who would appreciate it. Help us grow our readership and amplify our actions!
Four Ways to Defend Democracy Now
The Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration can cancel Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians and Syrians. Call Senators Fetterman and McCormick to demand passage of bill S 4814, which would extend TPS for all Haitians. Also, send a “Thank You” to Governor Shapiro for protecting voting rights and help get out the vote this November by writing letters to young and underserved voters.
It's Time to Support Local Immigrants and LGBTQ+ folks!
There are two communities that are dealing with intense attacks from the current administration.
Many of us may have been paying attention to what’s happening at DILLY DETENTION CENTER & DELANEY HALL. Although we may not be seeing it, ICE has been increasing activity HERE in Bucks County. People are being detained at a much higher rate, both in the community and even in our courts. Several local organizations that were serving the immigrant community have recently shut down.
We may have also been paying attention to the physical, emotional & legal attacks on, specifically, TRANS PEOPLE. The DOJ is trying to get personal information from gender clinics across the state. Basic gender-affirming care is being halted. And funding for support is being stripped.

Hunger Strikes Signal a Human Rights Crisis
This week, all eyes are on Delaney Hall in Newark and every other Detention Center (Concentration camp) in the country as hunger and labor strikes start or continue. Read more here: Immigrants’ rights are being flagrantly violated at these centers. Detainees are suffering Inhumane conditions, lack of due process and abuse.
Protect Trans Rights & Stop the Fraud
Thanks to all who came out to vote in the 2026 Primary last week - not even record heat could keep us from the polls! Our local PA-1 Congressional Race was one to watch, and leaves us with lots to think about regarding open primaries and next steps for healing and unification for democracy as the mid-terms approach. This week we’re inviting you to get to know your 2026 Midterm Candidates, and keep tabs on our current reps by calling on them to stop Trump’s Slush Fund, and support Trans Rights.
SCOTUS: Right to Vote for Republicans Only
Voting rights are under attack by MAGA Republicans.
Stop Funding Surveillance. Stop Funding Abuse.
This week we’re asking that you make it Your Call to continue to oppose government surveillance and funding ICE and CBP without reforms. Then, join us in the street for a May Day Strong Rally this Friday to flex our collective economic opposition muscles!

May Day Strong – Day of Economic Resistance on May 1st
Choose Trees over Oil, Planet over Profit
This week, as the Regime continues its path of destruction overseas and at home, take action against the War in Iran and the dismantling of the U.S. Forest Service. Make Your Call “trees over oil” and fight to end the madness!
Two Calls to Defend Democracy
Our purpose for this weekly Call-to-Action (CTA) email is to give people easy actions they can take to Protect and Progress our Democracy. Notice we've trimmed back to 2 actions this week. If each of us takes just 2 actions per week, collectively our voices amplify and our legislators take note. Please let us know how many actions you're willing to take, how often, and anything else you can share to help us grow more effective for the many fights ahead. Thanks for standing up and taking Action!
No Kings Was Just the Beginning
This week it’s Your Call to be in it for the long-haul! Let’s build momentum following the success of the No Kings 3.0 Protests. Use your voice to fight for birthright citizenship, democratic court justices, a DHS funding solution, and privacy rights.
No Kings. No Silence. Take Action Now.
This week we hold the line. It's Your Call to continue to protest unauthorized wars and aggressions, protect reproductive and trans rights, and demand ICE reforms. Write to Congress to amplify the majority position on big issues, and then use your voice at the March 28th No Kings Day Rally! LET’S ROLL.
NO SAVE Act, NO War on Iran, and NO Mullin
The chaos continues. Oppose the SAVE Act, the war in Iran, the Paramount/WB merger and the confirmation of Markwayne Mullin as DHS Secretary. Make your plan to attend a No Kings 3 Rally on March 28th!! If this administration doesn’t hear and see ALL OF US protesting, they will keep doing what they are doing.
TIP: Review the 5Calls scripts and combine several issues into 1 call per Representative!
An Unauthorized War Cannot Stand
We had planned to take a break this week and enjoy some much needed recharge time… but defending democracy calls.
Donald Trump has launched an illegal and unconstitutional military strike on Iran without congressional authorization and without making a coherent case for why his waging war is necessary or what he hopes to achieve. As Heather Cox Richardson explains, not only is his unilateral declaration of war unconstitutional, Trump is leveraging it to enrich himself and his family, create a ploy to disrupt the midterm elections, and to detract from his involvement in the Epstein files.
War is not a campaign strategy. It is not a diversion tactic. And it is certainly not a family business opportunity.
Your Only Call this week is simple and urgent: contact your representatives using this 5Calls link and demand that Congress reassert its constitutional authority over war powers. Insist on immediate action to prevent further military escalation with Iran.
Silence is complicity. Congress must act. No president gets to drag a nation into war by tweet, tantrum, or self-interest.
Joining Together to Make a Difference
Across our community, people are choosing connection over isolation and action over frustration. When we gather—at rallies, teach-ins, service projects, and strategy sessions—we remind one another that change does not happen by accident. It happens because ordinary people decide to show up. The events below are opportunities for us to stand together, learn together, and move our shared values forward in ways that truly make a difference.
Channel Your Conviction into Action!
This week we’re asking you to take action to seek justice for the vulnerable among us, and assert control over a regime that tramples our rights while grossly enriching itself. Your Call matters! 1 phone call is counted as 100-1,000 angry voters by congressional staffers. Read on, and turn your conviction into meaningful action.
